Dr du Bois completed his Bachelor of Dentistry at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, in 2003 after which he did a master’s degree by research in restorative dentistry.

After moving to Australia in 2007, he completed his specialist training (DClinDent) at the University of Adelaide in 2012. Until he opened Hobart Periodontics in October 2016 he had been working in Private practice in Adelaide.

Over the past 10 years, Alex has been involved in undergraduate training at the University of Adelaide and has done ongoing educational courses both locally and internationally. He is a member of ANZAP, ITI, ASP and ADA and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons.

Outside of the surgery Alex enjoys spending time with his young family and diving for crayfish.
